“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

Dear Friends

Greetings in Jesus’ name.

In our life journey, we are encouraged when people appreciate and encourage us, and we take it as a permanent encouragement during that time. But it doesn’t happen always. Many times we are neglected and we suffer due to jealousy or pride of self-centred lives around us. But that is human nature. The love of God and His encouragement are the only real permanent strength in life during all our situations.

The Bible we have in our Christian homes is the reminder for us to reflect, and to be inspired to use it in our daily lives. As per our Church calendar this month, the Bible needs to be the focus for us.

We are having 'Bible Sunday' on the 4th Sunday of this month. In this month from the 10th to the 19th some of us have the opportunity to make our pilgrimage in the footsteps of Jesus. This is one of the efforts we can make to receive the blessing of learning and to reflect on the life story of Jesus so that we understand the Good News very meaningfully from the Bible. Many pilgrims say that visiting the Holy Land brings the Bible to life in their spiritual journey.

For the 4th Sunday, we focus on the Bible in the world and pray for those who are less fortunate and do not have the Bible in their own languages. We want to bring people to know about the treasure of Tamil, English, and other Bibles we have, and to understand the meaning of God’s word to receive His real strength every day in our lives.

May I ask all of you to read the Book of Philippians (only 4 chapters)? We will have a quiz and reflection on it in the 4th Sunday Service.

The Psalmist said,

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105). This is his testimony!

I invite you all to participate in the worship as we seek together to have more connections with the Lord through His words.

With every blessing for this new month
