Thy Kingdom come

Dear Friends

Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.

Every month the worshipping life of LTCC encourages us to look at the World Church liturgical calendar more deeply, and that enhances our spiritual life journey together.

Generally, looking for the presence of God is an unavoidable inner thirst of everyone as we socially distance ourselves in this precedented time. I have written one article about my experiences during this year’s Easter Bhajan Service. This you can find under my monthly messages on the LTCC website with the title “Staring at the Risen Lord”. I encourage you to read the article from the website and thank God for His continuous mysterious journey with us as we come to know Him who is amongst us in our Church life.

This month we have many opportunities to reflect on Jesus’ Ascension: on Thursday 13th May, Pentecost day on 23rd May, and Trinity Sunday on 30th May. In between Ascension and Pentecost, I request you to join with our brothers and sisters to pray for God’s Kingdom to come amongst us. We may call these prayers “Thy Kingdom come prayers” and pray earnestly within ourselves, especially from 13th May to 23rd May, with our families and friends too.  This will enable us to feel our connections with our Lord more and more, and to renew our determination to consider seriously our responsibility to take care of the world and all of God’s creation.

Psalmist David, in his unspeakable family life situation, cried out to the Lord and said,

“Deliverance belongs to the Lord; may your blessing be on your people!” (Psalm 3:8)

He showed His entire trust in the Lord for His mercy to be given in his family situation.

May we show our faith and hope in God, who is the source of all blessings in our life, through this particular prayer journey during this month, and may we receive God’s blessings in our families, our Church families and in the world.

Have a blessed month of May.

In His Service
