“The Lord has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.”

Dear Friends

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

I do hope you are enjoying the gift of this year’s summer season with its bright sun and long days.

In addition to this blessing of bright sunny days, this new month of July paves the way for us to look back over this half of the year’s blessings with joyful hearts. Counting our past and present blessings increases our gratefulness to God for the indescribable grace which He has bestowed in our life journey.

As we are journeying in this 51st year of our Church, recollecting the past brings to mind lots of lively unforgettable incidents with good memories of the dedicated, faithful people in the successful life story of our Church. This month God is giving us another chance to listen to and learn from our experienced and faithful senior members, and to enrich our relationship with one another in our church life. This will happen during the 4th Sunday of July when we celebrate Senior Members’ Participatory Service with Holy Communion on the 23rd of July.

I request you all to make sure to promote this Sunday and encourage senior members to participate in this special service. There will be a chance for the senior members to share their faith stories with us and demonstrate their creative talents during the service. This will remind us that God’s gifts are given in our lives for a purpose. The sharing will proclaim the creative nature and greatness of our Lord and we all praise God for the talents of our senior members as we pray for them in this Service.

Psalmist says “The Lord has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.” (Psalm 126:3)

We share when we realise all gifts come from the Lord: Whether a gift is small or big, may His name be glorified! May our sharing with one another bring to the life of our church community real inspirational insights that lead us to move on with ever more enthusiasm to know the Lord better in our day-to-day lives.

Every year our young people usually call the “Fun Day” as “Church Sports Day” which they always long to experience and enjoy during Summer. This year the Fun Day is organised to be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, 15th July at the fields of St Andrew's Church, Roxbourne, 89 Malvern Avenue, South Harrow, HA2 9ER. Please promote it and bring people to participate and have fun this Summer. Give your helping hands to our youth leader Thushani Rajakumar for the success of this Fun Day.

Enjoy this Summer and share your faith stories with one another!

In His Service
