Lenten journey in this special year of 2022

Dear Friends,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I thank God for His grace and for the opportunity for every one of us in this pandemic to enter into this Lenten season from coming Wednesday (2nd March).

Ash Wednesday Joint Service:

According to our tradition, we are delighted to begin our Lenten journey with Rivercourt Methodist Church, Hammersmith, by having a joint service with them. The Minister from Rivercourt Methodist Church and I are preparing to minister together in this Service. Please participate and bring your family and friends to make use of this opportunity to begin their Lenten journey in a meaningful way.

Lent Study:

During this Lent, we will be having five studies via Zoom, on five Saturdays from 7:00pm to 8.30pm with the theme of “A Passion for Christ”.  The first study will begin on Saturday, 12th March at 7:00pm.

Special Prayers during 40 days

As we are in Lent, as LTCC Worshipping community, I wish and pray all of us to spend more time on reading or writing out Bible verses and praying for our Church, our families and for the world. If we are united each day between 12 noon and 1:00pm as a Prayer time for LTCC members it will also unite us in what we are personally asking together in prayer. We shall give thanks and reflect on Jesus’ life and ministry to understand and practice the greater love of Christ in our life journey.

Writing your own Psalm Book:

May our space in this season of Lent restore our real connection with the Lord and compassion towards humanity. I would like to encourage every family of LTCC to bring their own handwritten Psalm Book on Sunday 19th June as a sign of our collective or personal efforts to give thanks to God in this Golden Jubilee Year. Some of you have already started writing out the Psalms. Please encourage one another as that will bring the real joy of sharing God’s faithfulness in the life of LTCC.

Have a momentous and historic Lenten journey in this special year of 2022 !

In His Service
