Growing in Grace, Shining in Hope: Celebrating 54 Years of God’s Mission
"The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it." – 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Dear Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
As the London Tamil Christian Congregation (LTCC) prepares to celebrate its 54th Anniversary, our hearts are filled with gratitude to God, who has faithfully led us through every season of our journey. For more than five decades, God has sustained us, nurtured our faith, strengthened our fellowship, and empowered our witness. This anniversary is not merely a celebration of years gone by; it is a joyful testimony to the God who continues to work among us and through us.
Looking Back with Thanksgiving
Throughout the Bible, God's people are encouraged to remember His mighty acts. The Psalmist declares, "I will remember the deeds of the Lord" (Psalm 77:11). As we reflect on the history of LTCC, we remember countless blessings: faithful leaders who served sacrificially, members who prayed fervently, families who worshipped together, and generations who encountered Christ within this fellowship.
From a humble beginning, God has been our refuge and strength. Through challenges, transitions, and times of uncertainty, His hand has guided us. Every worship service, every answered prayer, and every life transformed stands as evidence of His enduring grace.
Living Today with Faith and Unity
Our anniversary is also an opportunity to celebrate what God is doing among us today. We are united by one Lord, one faith, and one mission. In a world often marked by division and uncertainty, the church is called to be a beacon of hope and a community of love.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that we are "God's fellow workers" (1 Corinthians 3:9). Each member of LTCC has a unique role in God's kingdom. Whether through worship, prayer, service, teaching, pastoral care, or outreach, we are partners in Christ's mission. As we gather to celebrate, let us renew our commitment to serving one another and sharing the love of Christ with those around us.
Looking Forward with Hope
Anniversaries are not only about remembering the past; they are also about embracing God's future. The God who has been faithful for 54 years is the same God who leads us into tomorrow.
There is a story of a lighthouse standing on a rugged coastline. Through storms, darkness, and crashing waves, its light never ceased to shine. Generations of sailors found safety because that light remained steadfast. The strength of the lighthouse was not in the storms it faced, but in the light it carried.
For 54 years, LTCC has been called to shine the light of Christ in London and beyond. As we look ahead, may we continue to be a church that welcomes the stranger, nurtures the young, supports the vulnerable, proclaims the Gospel, and reflects the love of Jesus in all we do.
Let us pray for fresh vision, renewed passion, and deeper faith as we step into the future God has prepared for us.
A Celebration of Praise
As we prepare for our 54th Anniversary celebration, let us lift our voices in thanksgiving and praise. We celebrate not merely the longevity of a congregation but the faithfulness of a God who never fails.
May our hearts echo the words of the Psalmist: "Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Psalm 115:1)
May God continue to bless the London Tamil Christian Congregation, strengthen our witness, and use us for His glory for generations to come.
Happy 54th Anniversary, LTCC!
