Easter - The 3rd Day

Easter - The 3rd Day

Dear Friends

Easter greetings to you all in the name of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ.

May you all have a meaningful and meditative Easter day this year and in the years ahead in your life.

During Lent, we were blessed to reflect on and learn from five questions of Jesus and understand how Jesus gave an example to live and proclaim the new commandments of love. Recollecting Jesus’ life story during this season is not only to restate the suffering of Jesus for humanity but also to apply His life and give space to enable His story to become our own story in our lives.

Easter is the new beginning where Jesus re-establishes the image of God in the fallen humanity. Jesus’ story happened in history, obviously. But that history paved the way forward to look within ourselves to rediscover who we are and how we are blessed to be a blessing to ourselves and others through the joy of Easter. Easter gave confusion and suspicions to His disciples. But Mary Magdelene’s earnest desire, to see what happened to Jesus who was crucified, was fulfilled on the day of Easter. She recognised Jesus not as a gardener but as a Resurrected Lord. Her inner spirit was strengthened to take up the new role that Jesus gave her on the day of His resurrection as the first evangelist.

Easter is the festival when we acknowledge that Jesus is alive today. We enter another 40 days of prayer until Ascension because Jesus spent 40 more days on earth after His resurrection and appeared to many as a living God. May we discover ourselves in prayer during this season of Eastertide and realise the ever-living presence of Christ in our lives. I wish and pray for you to receive the abundant grace of God in your families and your personal life situations.

God bless you all with the joy of Easter always!
